The Multinational Commerce group leads the company’s global ecommerce, omnichannel and multinational efforts including solutions strategy, GTM design, Tech Partnerships and sales execution. The group sells a unified commerce platform to Enterprise & Multinational clients and operates a center of excellence to drive ecommerce performance across our regional businesses.
The Tech Partnerships Business Development Leader will be responsible for developing and executing the company's technology partnership strategy, focusing on identifying, negotiating and managing strategic partnerships that can drive growth and innovation. Reporting to the SVP of Partnerships, this individual will work closely with the executive team, solutions, product development, sales, and marketing teams to create partnerships that can accelerate the company's growth trajectory.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement the technology partnership strategy to achieve business goals and objectives.
Build relationships with key technology partners, identify opportunities for collaboration, and negotiate partnerships that can enhance the company's product and service offerings.
Work with the product development team to identify technology trends and assess potential partnership opportunities that align with the company's product roadmap.
Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop joint go-to-market plans with partners that drive revenue growth and market share.
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including C-level executives at partner companies, to ensure successful execution of partnership agreements
Analyze partnership performance metrics and provide regular updates to the executive team on progress against goals and objectives.
Develop and manage a team of technology partnership managers to support the company's partnership strategy.
Provide thought leadership to partner clients that drive opportunities to enhance, improve and grow the partnership.
Partner with GCAMs to identify and package actionable insights relative to a merchant’s relationship with Global Payments and share them in regular merchant communications and periodic business reviews
Drive operational efficiency within the tech partnership team to ensure that key aspects of the organization deliver
Work with partners to integrate to Global Payments solutions and drive merchant sales opportunities to the multinational commerce sales teams.
Understand the business objectives of key clients and assist the clients in aligning with available technologies
Become an expert in all Global Payments payment products and services across ecom & f2f channels and all geographic markets
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. An MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.
Minimum of 10 years of experience successfully managing and expanding strategic, global enterprise client relationships in the merchant payments industry from a technical perspective
Deep understanding of the technology industry, technology trends, and emerging technologies.
Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to develop and execute complex partnership agreements.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on results and a passion for driving growth and innovation.
Strong customer relationship management experience within enterprise B2B and B2C client segments
Significant experience working with clients who have complex, multinational operations and aggressive growth plans
Success working in fast-paced environments leveraging modern account management tools and methodologies
Excellent verbal & written communication skills; fluency in English; strong interpersonal skills & industry presence/gravitas
Excellent presentation skills and experience, excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to travel up to 30%
The US base salary for this full-time position is starting at $150,000 plus bonus and incentives based on performance. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
