Summary of This Role
Responsible for producing high quality and innovative learning solutions and experiences for internal and external users of the organizations various programs, products, solutions, processes and services. Works closely with groups across the organization and clients to analyze, organize, design, develop, produce and maintain content for learning solutions that are appropriate for the culture and level of expertise of the users. Requires an understanding of industry best practices of instructional design and the application of adult and blended learning.
What Part Will You Play?
- Collaborates with internal and external clients on projects by determining the need for complex to highly complex learning solutions, materials, media, and the review of the developed learning solutions. Develops complex to highly complex learning solutions for learning platforms such as instructor led, self-paced, interactive eLearning, webinars, job aids, videos, scenarios, and blended solutions using interactive scripts and storyboards based on industry best practices, policies, and procedures. Collaborates with the multimedia graphic designer to ensure learning solutions meet the identified learning objectives. Reviews learning solutions developed by less experienced Instructional Designers and provides feedback to ensure industry best practices and effective design strategies are applied. May make recommendations to improve the effectiveness, content accuracy, readability, and alignment to identified learning objectives of existing learning solutions.
- Completes needs assessments and strategic learning assessments to create the basis for learning solution development and identifies the Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSAs), competencies, and training needs required to develop clear learning objectives and goals for the target audience. Researches training topics and the interviews of users and/or Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop learning solution content in alignment with instructional design strategies. Provides guidance and assistance to less experienced Performance Support Designers when completing assessments. Evaluates the effectiveness and efficiency of performance support systems according to ease of instructional technology use and student learning, knowledge transfer, and satisfaction.
- Manages several learning solution projects with competing timelines to include maintaining project materials and providing status reports to higher level designers and/or management throughout the project lifecycle. Makes recommendations and may assist in the prioritizing of work within the team based on competing timelines.
- Coaches and develops others by reviewing work produced by less experienced designers and provides feedback to improve instructional design knowledge and advance skills.
What Are We Looking For in This Role?
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Relevant Experience or Degree in: Associate's degree in Instructional Design or related field and eight or more years specialized training or professional experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
- Typically Minimum 6 Years Relevant Exp
- Work experience in instructional design, training, or communications
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Master's degree in Instructional Design or related field
- Typically Minimum 6 Years Relevant Exp
- Instructional design, training, or communications with a minimum of 2 years in the financial services industry.
