Summary

At TSYS, We are creatively and disruptively solving some of the most complex database problems related to immense growth,scaling, extremely high performance and high availability requirements. Do these types of challenges excite you?

Reporting to the Data Engineering Director, The Data Infrastructure group is responsible for building and maintaining the platforms and frameworks which drive TSYS’s data ecosystem.Some of these systems include: data replication pipelines (logging and change data capture), the Spark ecosystem and other derived data creation frameworks, the company-wide data lake, query execution systems (Presto/Trino).

Responsibilities:

• Extensive experience building data platforms using technologies like Hadoop, Apache Spark, and AWS

• Someone who has led teams that manage large Hadoop clusters or who have built a large scale database or data lake

• Experience building scalable, reliable systems that span multiple data centers around the world and handle millions of requests every day

• 5+ years of experience with Python

• 3+ years of experience with Spark, AWS Analytics services, Kafka

• 3+ years of experience with Kubernetes and Helm

• Knowledge and working experience in BigData tools like Cloudera Hue, Apache Zeppelin, Redash, Hive, Apache Airflow

• Knowledge of Spark Internal architecture is added advantage

• Jenkins automation, Shell Scripting
