Summary
Global Payments’ corporate development group is a small, nimble team based in the company’s Atlanta headquarters that works on strategically important projects and reports directly to the C-suite. They are responsible for the sourcing, evaluation, and execution of mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures for all of Global Payments' businesses worldwide. The team collaborates closely with business unit and regional leadership to formulate and implement M&A strategy.
The corporate development intern will actively participate in every aspect of Global Payments’ M&A efforts. The team takes a collaborative, hands-on approach, and the intern will work with more senior team members on fast-moving deal teams.
The intern’s key responsibilities will include:
Begins to develop knowledge and company specific financial, valuation and transaction acumen by leveraging the experience of more senior peers and analyzing industry and company research, external publications and attending internal/external training
Assists with financial modeling and analysis
Assists with the preparation of presentations for Global Payments management and board of directors
Participates in the interaction and coordination with colleagues across Global Payments as well as external parties including investment bankers, private equity firms and other companies
Assists more experienced peers with the preparation of ad-hoc studies, reports and analyses

Pursuing Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Finance, Economics, Business Management, or related field
Microsoft Office - Experience in the use of systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
