TouchNet is looking for a motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accelerating sales growth by managing outbound campaigns in order to build pipeline. In this role, strong communication skills (both verbally and written) are a must, as you will build relationships internally within the sales team and foster strong relationships with new and existing customers. We are looking to hire a high caliber SDR who has an aspiration for a future sales career.

The SDR will focus on product knowledge, business communications, sales skills and gain an understanding about the higher-education industry. This position will offer engagement with prospects and customers through product demos, cold calls, email communications, etc. The SDR will engage with various departments/levels within the organization, including Sales Operations, Sales, Marketing, Product, Business Development, and Leadership.

Job Duties/Responsibilities: In the SDR position, you will make immediate contributions to the organization including but not limited to:

  • Serve as the first line of contact for all inbound business leads & contacts

  • Partner with Marketing to take action on trade show follow-up correspondence

  • Create a best in class prospecting campaign using Outreach.io in partnership with Sales & Marketing

  • Schedule targeted meetings with customers/products by collaborating with the Sales Reps

  • Participate in product demos and discovery calls to ensure a focus on continuous learning & engagement

  • Develop knowledge of TouchNet products, as well as understand TouchNet Partners and TouchNet Events (ie COMTEC) that may require a SDR-led calling campaign

  • Communicate effectively and promptly to internal and external stakeholders

  • Develop skills of how to correctly use SFDC & Outreach.io for weekly/monthly/quarterly metric reporting

  • Maintain detailed and organized records within SFDC, Gmail, Outreach.io, etc. for historical tracking

  • Cross-train within sales operations team to develop cross-functional knowledge and experience

  • Utilize best practices and professionalism in daily activities to set yourself up for success

  • Display a positive team-first attitude & drive for meeting or exceeding role expectations

  • Effective collaborate with others to ensure success within role

Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, communications or a related field

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across various internal functions and internal stakeholders

  • Exemplify confidence with a proactive/self-starter attitude to meet or exceed goals

  • Intelligent, motivated and competitive - understand the ‘getting it done and doing it right’ mentality

  • Thrive in a team environment and effectively communicate with all levels of stakeholders

  • Work in Lenexa, KS office at least 3 days per week
